At an extractive industry, the approval of the restoration plan, is always a precondition for the granting of an investigation permit, or the exploitation authorisation, or after the revision or modification of the same by the exploiting entity, and is carried out in accordance with articles 5.5 and 7 of Royal Decree 975/2009, of 12 June, on the management of waste from extractive industries and the protection and rehabilitation of the area affected by mining activities (BOE No. 143, of 13 June 2009), following a previous report from the competent environmental authority.
